The Wildcats Compete at Cardigan Mountain School

The Wildcats' third meet of the season took place at Cardigan Mountain School, and the runners were treated to another beautiful day for racing!
Every member of the team competed today, and each one delivered, whether by shaving time off last week's performance or by showing real grit and determination to reach the finish line.
The girls' race got off to a bold start, with Gwen attacking the hill at the starting line, then finishing with a spirited sprint to place 14th. Caroline led the Wildcats with a 4th-place finish in a field of 25 runners, and she continues to inspire her teammates with her determination. Claire placed 10th and turned in a steady, consistent effort from start to finish, even trimming 6 seconds off her time from last week. Sophie completed her first 5K of the season and looked poised and composed the whole way. All of the girls should be proud of what they accomplished today.
The boys' race featured some big breakthroughs. Luke placed 9th out of 60 runners. Michael finished 13th and dropped more than 20 seconds from his previous race. Keitaro cut 26 seconds from last week's time, and Jeffrey took nearly a full minute off his, both looking consistent and determined on the course. Cyrus turned in a great performance, breaking the 30-minute mark once again, with an improvement of more than a minute. Wonjun completed his second race of the season, building experience with every outing.
Great job to our runners today at Cardigan!
