Josh has built his career in support of mission-driven institutions. Prior to joining KUA, Josh served as the Dean of Enrollment and Financial Aid at Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, and had previously worked as a consultant to colleges and universities, as well as a director of college counseling. After serving as a member of the Editorial Committee for Net Assets, the magazine of the National Business Officers Association, Josh now serves on the Program Selection Committee for the NBOA Annual Conference. A deep believer in independent schools, Josh is a frequent presenter to school leaders and educators at annual conferences and serves as a trustee at Crossroads Academy, an independent K-8 school in nearby Lyme, New Hampshire.
Josh earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Law & Geography from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada; he holds a Master of Arts in Globalization Studies from Dartmouth College, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science from the University of Chicago. In 2020, Josh completed the ISACS Leadership Academy for school leaders, earning his Executive Scholar Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
When not traveling (Josh visits 20+ countries annually in support of KUA), Josh and his wife Alecia live in Brooks Cottage, where they run the Jewish Students Group, hosting Shabbat dinners and craft nights.
