Celebrating Our Graduates

Kimball Union Academy will host its Two Hundred and Tenth Commencement on Saturday, May 23 as it honors the graduating Class of 2026. The ceremony takes place at 11 a.m. ET on the Bicentennial Quad.

Global Scholar Capstone Presentations
7-8:30 p.m.
Reading Room, Miller Bicentennial Hall
Global Scholars will present their final capstone projects. Families are invited to attend.

Arts Scholar Capstone Presentations
6:30-8 p.m.
Flickinger Arts Center
Arts Scholars will perform and/or introduce their final capstone projects. ​Families are invited to attend. 

May 15

The Giles Family STEM Scholar Capstone Presentations
6:30-8:30 p.m.
Hayes Auditorium
STEM Scholars will present their final capstone projects. Families are invited to attend. This presentation will be livestreamed for anyone unable to attend in person.

Senior Reception & Dinner

A fun optional afternoon activity to start the weekend. Parents and the community are invited to watch!

Commencement is held rain or shine. Refreshments and snacks will be available in the lobby of Flickinger Arts Building during the ceremony. A livestream of Commencement will be shown in Flickinger Auditorium.

Commencement FAQ

What time will the ceremony begin and end?
Commencement will begin at 11:00 am. We expect the program to last for roughly and hour and a half.
 
Is there assigned seating?
No, seating is not assigned. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. 
 
Do I need tickets?
No, you do not need tickets to attend Commencement. All are welcome to attend and support our graduating class. 
 
Is there handicap parking available?
Handicap parking is available to vehicles with official state licenses or placards and accessible permits and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are concerned, please contact Jen Rexford at 603-469-2128 to reserve a handicap parking spot. Golf carts are available from the parking lot.
 
What if it is raining?
Commencement is held outdoors, rain or shine. Commencement will be livestreamed inside of Flickinger Auditorium for those guests wishing to avoid the rain, sun, or heat. In the event that there is lightning, Commencement would then be delayed until it is safe to resume. 
 
What should guests wear or bring?
Upper Valley weather can vary, from raining and cold to sunny and hot, in late May. Please keep this in mind when choosing what to wear. Guest may be most comfortable in shoes with low or flat heels, due to being on the lawn. Please plan to bring hats, sunscreen, and raincoats as necessary. If umbrellas are necessary, please try to bring clear umbrellas, to be as considerate as possible to our other guests. 
 
Where do I meet my graduate after Commencement?
Once Commencement is over, our recent graduates will walk to the lawn on the opposite side of the Barrette Campus Center. We encourage families to designate a specific location to meet after graduation, if you are concerned about finding each other.
 
Are underclass students required to attend?
No, underclass students are not required to attend graduation. We do strongly encourage our underclass students to attend, if possible. 
 
What is Baccalaureate?
Baccalaureate service is an intimate, reflective ceremony held before the main graduation ceremony, featuring speakers, music and readings.
