  Bio

  Scott Roy comes to KUA with more than 25 years of sports medicine experience. Before joining us on The Hilltop, he served as a Senior Athletic Trainer at Dartmouth College; where he provided care for a number of Dartmouth’s sports programs and took on a wide variety of administrative roles. He also spent eight years as the Head Athletic Trainer and Clinical Associate Professor at Colby-Sawyer College, where he managed the sports medicine unit and taught in the athletic training major. Early in his career, Scott had short stays at Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an Associate Athletic Trainer and at UMass-Amherst as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer.
  
  Scott completed his undergraduate degree at Springfield College in Massachusetts where he majored in athletic training and physical education, and was a member of the basketball team.  Following this he completed a Master of Science in Exercise Science at UMass.
  
  Professionally, Scott has a wide range of interests in the field of sports medicine which include running biomechanics, concussion management, disordered eating in athletes and pain science. In his personal time he enjoys a number of outdoor adventure pursuits as well as woodworking and cooking. He is originally a native of Gorham, NH, and currently lives in Grantham with his wife, Amy, and daughter, Alecia.

  Colleen Norgang 03

  Bio

  Colleen Norgang ‘03 attended Kimball Union Academy as a four-year boarding student. Colleen played varsity basketball and softball each year and was a dormitory proctor during her junior and senior years.
   
  Colleen holds a BS in Athletic Training from the University of Maine in Orono, having first attended Gettysburg College where she studied Health and Exercise Science and played basketball. While at UMaine, Colleen had the opportunity to coach basketball at Orono High School, during one of her Athletic Training clinical rotations. It was that experience that confirmed Colleen’s passion for working with student-athletes at the secondary school level.
   
  Upon graduating from college, Colleen worked at Kents Hill School for seven years as the Athletic Trainer, Assistant Director of Athletics, Community Wellness Facilitator, Biology teacher, Advisor, and Dormitory Head. She then took a position at the Williston Northampton School as the Head Athletic Trainer for one year before returning to Kimball Union to work as the Assistant Athletic Trainer and teach biology. Colleen is the house head in Welch Dorm.

  Timothy Lin

  Bio

  Dr. Timothy Lin is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in Sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery who works at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Alice Peck Day Hospital in Lebanon.  His clinical interests include surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee, including ACL reconstruction, meniscus surgery, and shoulder instability, among many other conditions.  He is particularly interested in helping young athletes stay on the field, court, and ice.  He helps to cover the United States Slopestyle ski team, Dartmouth Athletics, and is proud to be the head team orthopedist for Kimball Union Academy.  Dr. Lin comes to campus twice a month to see athletes in the Sports Medicine Clinic and makes every effort to fit KUA students into his schedule at APD and DHMC for more urgent matters. 
  
  

  When not at work he loves skiing, soccer, tennis, mountain biking, gardening, and fishing. Dr. Lin and his wife recently welcomed a son, Sammy to their family.
