KUA (2) vs Phillips Andover (1)

KUA 2 – Phillips Andover 1: A Competitive Saturday Matchup
Kimball Union Academy welcomed a strong Phillips Andover side to Pope Field on Saturday afternoon for a well-played contest between two skilled teams. KUA struck first when Dodji slipped a clever ball into space for Alex, whose driven shot took a late deflection, leaving the Andover goalkeeper with no chance and giving the Wildcats an early 1–0 lead.
Both teams battled through the middle stretch of the match with disciplined defending and quality chances on each end. In the second half, Alex linked up with Tomoki to extend the advantage to 2–0, capitalizing on the momentum KUA had built.
Phillips Andover continued to press and showed great determination, earning their reward in the closing seconds with an impressive shot curled into the upper right corner to narrow the score line. It was a well-deserved strike for a team that fought until the final whistle.
KUA held strong to finish out the match, grateful for the challenge and the level of play brought by Andover’s talented group.
