Bus Driver, Part-Time
Kimball Union (KUA) seeks an experienced and student-centered individual to join our team as a Part-Time School Bus Driver. You will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for students to and from various destinations, including sports events, and social gatherings.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate school vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to traffic laws and school policies.
- Transport students according to scheduled routes and be adaptable to changes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a safe and respectful environment on the bus, managing student behavior as needed.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, and school employees.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus.
- Provide first aid in emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver's license with the appropriate passenger endorsement (e.g., NH Public Passenger Endorsement or CDL with Passenger endorsement for larger vehicles).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Physical ability to drive for extended periods.
