Boys JV Lacrosse Coach
Kimball Union Academy (KUA) seeks a student-centered boys’ junior varsity lacrosse coach.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coach and develop our boys’ varsity lacrosse team. Plan and lead structured, developmentally appropriate practices, including creating and implementing practice plans that support skill development, team systems, and overall program goals
- Pursue continuous growth and development in understanding and implementation of diverse and effective instructional practices
- Pursue continuous growth in best coaching and recruiting practices
- Support full program operations, including traveling and driving with the team to away contests, collaborating closely with the JV assistant coach, and contributing to a cohesive, well-run team environment
- Participate in KUA’s DEI efforts
- Contribute knowledge, expertise, and passion to the on-going collaborative effort to innovate and improve KUA’s curriculum
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of coaching lacrosse at the junior high school, recreation, high school or college level
- Collaborative approach, willing to work closely with colleagues
- Flexible, resilient, and creative working within a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a track record for building strong relationships with both students and colleagues
- Student-centered coach with a commitment to investing in the lives of young people
